“The Magic’s Gone” is an emo low-fantasy narrative album that is both a prequel and sequel to our EP “The Fabric of Our Lives”. Our narrator, The Bard, performs the task set for them: telling tales of times past. It is our collective visit to the past of Nowhere, telling the story of two intrepid young people known as The Lamb and The Luminary, and their misadventure. It’s a story of pride, shame, growth, magic, and love; set to a record that meanders its way from guitar ballad to sludge-y breakdowns and into huge anthemic choruses.
The record was engineered and produced by Chris Teti (TWIABP, Fiddlehead) and mastered by Kris Crummett (The Story So Far, TWIABP). Jess Knight and Brandon Carnes (Looming) are both featured in several tracks on the record, playing character roles of The Seamstress and The Clockmaster.
